Where

We distribute food to those requesting our assistance on Friday mornings from 8:30-12  at Yakima Rotary Food Bank Building on the corner of S. 7th St. and S. Central Ave. (703 Central Avenue near State Fair Park, by Henry Beauchamp Community Center).

We serve all who request our assistance without requesting unnecessary documentation or asking intrusive questions. We ask for no personally identifiable data. Solely to meet the requirements of donors, we ask for the total members of the household, groupings of members by age, whether this is the household’s first visit since June 30, and age grouping of new members of the household since the previous visit. We leverage donations by purchasing foods in bulk and repackaging it for families.

Last year, 2019, food requests and community donations increased 12% and 30% respectively —  27,132 individual needs of weekly assistance were  distributed approximately 1,727,313 pounds of nutritious foods through Yakima Rotary Food Bank!  An average of 587 households selected an average of over 55 pounds of foods each Friday morning from over 16 food stations staffed by volunteers.  A monthly average of 72 volunteers donated over 13,150 hours in 2019  — a 30%  and 31% increase from 2018!
