Our Foodbank:
- Feeds the hungry by soliciting and distributing food to other charitable agencies in our seven counties of distribution
- Develops, certifies, supports, monitors, and channels food products to these charitable agencies that provide services to the needy, and
- Educates the public about the nature and solutions to the problems of hunger
Since 1980, Terre Haute Catholic Charities Foodbank has been providing relief to hungry people in the Wabash Valley. Our energies and expertise, along with the support of the food industry, private contributors, United Way of the Wabash Valley and countless volunteers have helped many to choose between paying for medicine or food, prevent more children from going to school with empty stomachs, and feed more adults so they can be able to work and sustain their families.
Approximately 8% of our funding comes from Federal Government sources and 90% from non-governmental sources
