St. Malachi Parish

Clothing is distributed to those in need on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 am at the basement entrance to St. Malachi Church. Clothing and small household goods are distributed to local families in need, on the third Saturday of every month. An appointment is required for the third Saturday distribution. Please call 216-771-3030 to make an appointment or schedule an appointment in person at Malachi Center.

For those who wish to donate, please follow these main points from our Clothing Ministry Guidelines:
* Ordinarily the Clothing Ministry can accept a limit of 6 bags or boxes of donations per donation source, unless pre-arranged with a member of the Malachi Center or St. Malachi Church staff or clothing ministry leaders (phone numbers below).
* We request that 75% of clothing donations be FOR MEN, including seasonal, clean, lightly worn or new casual clothing, such as pants, jeans, t-shirts, button shirts, sweatshirts, socks, shoes and seasonal hoodies, coats, gloves and hats. Ideally, 25% or less of clothing donations should be for woman and children.
* Please bring donations to the Church Basement Monday-Friday between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, or before or after the weekend masses. The Church Basement door is on the north side of the church.
* The Clothing Ministry receives a great many donations between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  It would be most helpful to donate clothing outside this holiday period if at all possible.

Volunteer skills needed include the ability to work as a team member, a warm friendly demeanor, organizational skills, desire to be of service to others, and the ability to learn to assess which donations are useful for the clothing ministry
