The Orting Food Bank was started in 2007 by a handful of volunteers to meet the growing needs of the hungry in Orting. Our mission is to assist those in need in our community by providing food and referral services. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
In 2007 we distributed food to approximately 30 households each month. In 2018 we served over 450 households/1500 individuals each month. We also supply Weekend Meal backpacks to to students in need in the Orting School District, as well as stock “Care Closets” at each OSD school with personal care items and food. In the summer we serve as a Summer Meal site for children ages 1-18. This program aims to fill the hunger gap that some children experience by not having access to school meals during the summer.
The need in our community continues to grow, but we are able to feed all who need our help with the generous support of our partners and community! If you are interested in visiting us to learn more about our programs and organization, please contact us.

Wednesday 12:00 noon – 3:00pm
Friday 9:00am – 12:00 noon (Seniors hours 9:00 - 10:30)
Saturday 10:00am - 1:00pm
