Homeless Services

On this site you’ll find useful information on Philly’s homeless housing system including information about why people are homeless, how many, and what our strategy is. We also provide information on where to go for help including a list of service providers, how to help homeless individuals, current events and stories of progress on the News page.

Homelessness Prevention and Diversion Services

Are you facing homelessness? Contact the Prevention, Diversion & Intake Unit to see if you qualify for help. There are three ways to get in touch with our intake social workers and case managers. Due to high volume, you may wait up to 72 hours to receive a response.

  1. Complete an online form.
  2. Call the Homelessness Prevention Hotline at 215-686-7177 and follow the instructions.
  3. Visit a City-funded intake center.

And if you’re facing eviction, call Philadelphia Eviction Prevention Project, at 267-443-2500.
