We are normally open every Friday from 1:00 to 3:00, unless the Friday happens to be a holiday, or the Friday is the fifth Friday of the month. We are also normally closed the Friday of Thanksgiving week and the Friday of Christmas week, although as we get close to these dates we will post an update with the specific dates we will be open and closed for November and December.
For anyone who may not have transportation to the Food Bank, please be aware that you can call Grays Harbor Transit’s Dial-A-Ride and request a ride to our location (213 West Spruce Ave) by calling (360) 532-2770 option 3 at least one hour before your trip. The cost is one dollar each way, but if you need help with the payment we will take care of this with the driver for you when you arrive. In these cases, please let the driver know when they pick you up that we will be paying for your ride, and let us know as soon as you arrive, so we can get the payment to the driver as quickly as possible and keep their wait to a minimum. We will also make sure that anyone who needs a ride home from the Food Bank, after picking up their food, will receive one from Dial-A-Ride.
Items can be donated between 11:00 and 3:00 on any of the days we are open. Cash donations can be mailed to 222 N Main, Montesano, WA 98563, or dropped off in person at either this same address or at the food bank itself. Please let us know if you would like a receipt for your donation.
While we are always grateful for any and all donations we receive, the following items are of particular benefit to our clients: canned fruit, peanut butter, jam/jelly, biscuit mix, cereal, and canned tunafish. Please note, that while any commercially canned/packaged food is acceptable, we are not permitted to hand out any opened, or home canned/packaged, food items to our clients, and we must dispose of these items. Thank you for your support.
