1 in4 Children are hungry I want to make sure No Child, Senior or Family in Need goes Hungry in East Texas! No One Should go Hungry in our Community!!!

During my 17th Annual Ton of Toys Toy Drive, an interest was expressed for my assistance to the East Texas Food Bank. It came to my astonished attention that 1 in 4 children and 1 in 5 adults, mostly seniors, are “food insecure” and numbers 252,900 in 26 counties. To this request, it was absolutely impossible to say no.
This year will be a first in a partnership between JJO Radio and PATH for 2021 and years to come. The JJO’s Food Drive will be held in the Super Walmart parking lot 6801 South Broadway in Tyler, in the Spring, Summer, and Fall always starting on a Friday at 8A-8P Hoping to raise at least 10,000 pounds (5 Tons) of non-perishable food items are raised for needy hungry East Texans.
PATH, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 1 in 4 children and 1 in 5 adults in East Texas are food insecure.

Q Why I help?

I do it for the children who are in situations to no fault of their own. As long as there are Children in need I will continue to do anything I possibly can do to help. This is why I live in a storage container unshaved and unbathed until I reach at least my goal, 2,000 pounds of Toys and 200 bikes, 10,000 pounds of non-perishable food or 2,000 backpacks and the school supplies to fill them.
