Clay County Clothes Closet is an all-volunteer Non-Profit organization that has been dedicated to serving the clothing needs of impoverished residents of Clay County Missouri since 1959. Clothing is a basic human need. Our Organization strives to make clothing available to individuals in our community who have an established need for this assistance.
Need is not a stereotype. It doesn’t look the same for everybody. It doesn’t take on just one face. Need doesn’t care about age, gender, marital status, geographic locale, or any other number of demographic variables. Sometimes people just need compassion and assistance. Clay County Clothes Closet promises to provide non-judgmental, compassionate clothing assistance, helping to restore dignity, self-respect and hope to individuals in need.
