The Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley is passionately committed to improving lives through food assistance, nutrition education, and access to community services.
If you are in need of food assistance, please call us at 956-682-8101 and select option 2 for a referral to a pantry close to you. We have 275 partner agencies across Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties. Our partner agencies receive support and resources from the Food Bank RGV and are prepared to provide assistance to anyone in need.
If you are in need of EMERGENCY assistance, you have the option to visit us at 724 N. Cage Blvd. in Pharr during our DTEP.
The Food Bank RGV has shifted our ‘Emergency Pantry’ to a Drive Thru Emergency Pantry to safely distribute food to our community during the pandemic. Our ‘DTEP’ takes places every Wednesday from 7am – 10am or until capacity is reached (except during holiday or week of major holiday).
To receive assistance, you will need to bring your ID and a proof of address such as a utility bill. You will also need to wear a face covering and have an empty car trunk so that food can be placed inside with little or no contact.
