Friendship Shelter operates a rehabilitative self-sufficiency program in Laguna Beach, CA, were 32 men and women receive a home, three meals daily and a wide range of support services. Residents are expected to work, save money and develop skills to rebuild their lives. Graduates may apply to Henderson House transitional living apartments located in San Clemente, where 24 residents live for up to one year, allowing them to consolidate their gains and continue on the path to fully productive lives.
In coordination with the city of Laguna Beach, the Laguna Beach Relief and Resource Center, and Mercy House, Friendship Shelter assists in the operation of the Alternative Sleeping Location (ASL) on Laguna Canyon Road, an emergency overnight shelter.
Every night, more than 100 homeless people sleep safe and supported in Firendship shelter programs. Since its inception, more than 6,000 adults have been the recipients of vital services through our programs
