CROSS is an alternative hours food pantry for those who are unable to access other food pantries, therefore, there are no geographical boundaries for the CROSS pantry.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday
8:30am – 4:30pm
For Eligibility You Must Provide:
A valid form of identification for each household member, each time the individual or family visits their designated Food Pantry site.
A piece of mail with the individual or family’s name and current address
Individuals or families are only eligible to receive food from a DMARC Emergency Food Pantry once during any calendar month.
CROSS Ministries is a non profit homelessness prevention agency with the Presbytery of Des Moines. Since our creation in the mid 1970s, we have grown exponentially to offer services to thousands of community members each year. We provide direct financial emergency assistance, food, and personal hygiene products to low and no income households

Electric/gas, water
Personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, laundry vouchers, bus tokens
Food assistance
School supplies (ONLY during our annual Back-to-School giveaway event)
*Applicants must provide identification for each person in the household
**Assistance is not guaranteed, but will be determined on an individual basis
