    Did you know that we host 20-35 shoppers a week? Our shoppers are very rarely homeless, but they are parishioners, neighbors, relatives and friends. Anyone can shop here that meets our financial criteria. Our shoppers live in Novi, and the surrounding cities, as far as Monroe to Pontiac too. Everything is free to our shoppers. Some people shop here once and some have been shopping a few times a year for many years. 

    We are currently accepting “Spring & Summer Clothing” 
    We accept the following items:

    • Clothing, shoes, purses and assessories for all ages
    • Like new children’s books and small toys (no loose pieces)
    • Linens such as sheets, blankets, towels, current style curtains (no stains or wear and tear)
    • Sets of dishes, cutlery, pots and pans (no scratches or wear marks) and other kitchen items
    • Small electronic appliances such as coffeepots, toasters, etc. (must be in working order)
    • Small knick-knacks, candles, phone cases, games, puzzles, and new personal care items 

    We do not accept:

    • Winter coats, boots, or clothes at this time
    • Clothing that are stained, torn, out of season, or outdated
    • No Men’s or women’s suits, button down shirts, or dresses (we do not have the room for these items)
    • Adult books, or text books (Novi Library 2nd & 4th Thursday of month – call first 248-869-7204)
    • Larger items such as floor lamps, furniture of any type or large appliances (Our reccomendation for these donations are: The Furniture Bank of SE MI 333 N Perry St., Pontiac, MI 48342 248-332-1300 they do pick-up)
    • Any Baby items other than small toys and clothes (We reccomend donating other baby items to Another Way Pregnancy Center 31700 W 12 Mile Rd #102 Farmington, MI 48334 248-471-5858)

    Donation Drop off Times:

    Mondays: 9am-12pm & 6:30-8:30pm WE ARE CLOSED 12pm-6:30pm (Monday exceptions on holidays)
    WE MAY NEED TO CLOSE EARLY ON OUR MORNING SHIFT IF THE DONATIONS ARE OVERWHELMING BUT WILL REOPEN AT 6:30PM AND REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 8:30PM. (Please be patient with our Closet workers, they are volunteers)
    Please drop off at the designated times and do not leave items outside the door or in the Church. Due to COVID-19 any items left at our door must be thorwn away.

    “BECOME A SHOPPER”

    We provide clothing and small household furnishings to low income families in the community and beyond. 
    The Community Clothes Closet carries donated clothes ranging from infant to adult, including shoes, coats, and accessories, etc. Also offered are donated dishes, pots and pans, plus small household items, linens, toys and small appliances. All items are donated and free to low income families. 
     
    To become a shopper, all you need is a valid driver’s license, state id., or passport.  Proof of income (SSI/SSD letter,  2 paystubs, or last year’s W-2 or tax return) Proof of residency (2 pieces of mail at address on your valid id.) to qualify. You can live anywhere in the Metro Detroit area.

    Serving the surrounding community and its members regardless of faith, race or orientation.
    We do not have an area requirement, but require proof of low income status (last year’s tax return,  Social Security Insurance/ Disability verification, two paystubs, or DHHS denial letter).
