Camas Prairie Food Bank

Camas Prairie Food Bank serves the needs of Idaho County, primarily Grangeville and the surrounding areas. 

We provide food for those in emergency situations, as well as the low-income and/or those receiving assistance who cannot make it through the month. The need in Idaho County is great and is increasing year by year.

The food insecurity statistic for Idaho County is around 15%.  The number of children and families that subsist on one or two meals a day is staggering, and the nutritional needs are not being met. 

The volunteers here at Camas Prairie Food Bank are passionate about what they do.  We believe that by working together in the community we can help those who are in need of one of the basic necessities of life, we do not turn anyone away.  

We are solely supported by the communities we serve. The folks of Grangeville and the surrounding areas are generous in their commitment to help those less fortunate.  

Camas Prairie Food Bank is supported by a committed group of donors that give regularly each month with financial aid, volunteers, food drives and other meaningful types of support. Without the support of these businesses and individuals,  we would not be able to operate.   But thanks to their commitment we have grown in our operation from being open one day each month to being open two days each week with a group of dedicated volunteers.
