The Blaine Food Bank was established in 1971.The first food bank operated out of the United Church of Christ. After several moves, the city, Northwood Alliance Church, and Stafholt donated land and Ken Kellar built and donated our current building.
Today, 7 days a week our trucks travel the county to pick up donated food from grocery stores and our non-profit partners. Our all- volunteer crew then sorts, stocks, and finally distributes the food to over 400 hungry individuals and families in our community each week. In addition, we are currently providing over 160 children in the Blaine School District with 3 meals per day each weekend.
