The Lantern House is a short term (90-day) resident homeless shelter in Ogden, Utah providing a wide range of emergency services.
Lantern House exists to aid the poor, needy, and homeless by providing them food, shelter, and critical emergency services. We provide a hand up rather than a hand out. Our goal is to transition residents from shelter to housing; encouraging their sense of independence, self-sufficiency, and self-confidence. We are committed to carry out this mission while treating those who come to us with compassion, dignity, and respect.
OUR PURPOSE

We offer more than just a place to eat and sleep, we offer love and support to those that need it most!

SHELTER
The Lantern House offers shelter for men, women, and families.
  • Check-In times for residents is 6:00pm – 9:00pm

  • Nightly Check-In time 10:00pm 

  • Pets are also welcome

SOUP KITCHEN

Community breakfast and lunch is provided every day from 7:00am – 8:00am and 12:00pm – 1:00pm. Anyone is welcome to join! Dinner served nightly for Lantern House Residents. 

CRITICAL NEEDS

Assist people in obtaining birth certificates, ID’s, bus tokens, health care, etc.

HOUSING SUPPORT

Guide clients as they transition from shelter to permanent housing and self-sufficiency

CASE MANAGMENT

One-on-one advising to Lantern House residents as they navigate barriers to obtaining education, employment, & housing.
