The Woodstock Clothes Closet is a local, charitable thrift store that was started over 50 years ago as a community outreach ministry by several local churches. The Clothes Closet sells good, inexpensive clothes and miscellaneous home goods, with profits going to support other local charitable organizations. Free clothes are given to those referred by a government or non-profit charitable organization and to those in need as a result of a fire or flood.
The Clothes Closet is staffed by a few paid employees and by many volunteers who are supplied by its supporting churches, including New Hope. The supporting churches also provide a person or persons to sit on the governing board of directors who oversee the workings and finances of the ministry.
