For 36 years, Samaritan House has been the leading resource for individuals and families fleeing violence in Hampton Roads. We provide emergency shelter and comprehensive support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Samaritan House is Hampton Roads’ trusted domestic violence resource offering services to stop violence with education and training, safety planning and court assistance; and services to heal violence with counseling, support groups, children’s programs and more. Samaritan House is Virginia’s largest emergency housing provider serving the community since 1984.
Located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and accredited through the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance.
Victim Advocacy
The Victim Advocacy Program helps families and individuals protect themselves physically and legally through referrals, one-on-one intervention, court accompaniment, and counseling. Advocates help design safety and prevention strategies and make connections with community resources. All non-shelter Victim Advocacy services are accessible by calling the Crisis Hotline: (757) 430-2120.
