Friedens Community Ministries mission is to provide needy residents in Milwaukee County with healthy, nutritious food. Friedens provides emergency food to clients who fall through the social safety net by failing to qualify for the Food Share program on their first visit. Friedens works with Milwaukee County social workers by providing an alternative to turning clients away empty handed. Obtaining Friedens’ food encourages these Coggs Center clients who have taken the initiative to seek Food Share to stay on this path to greater self-sufficiency.
