Where

The Clothes Closet continues to be open in a limited capacity. We are currently allowing up to 3 shoppers at a time (only one shopper per card), for a limited time of 15 minutes (if others are waiting to come in). All shoppers must wear masks in the store and use hand sanitizer prior to signing in.

NEW: As we move into the colder months, and we are still under restrictions due to the pandemic, we are trying a new procedure for shopping. This new plan will mean less time waiting outside to shop, and will give those who haven’t shopped yet priority over those who have. Starting in December, clients will need a scheduled appointment to shop. [A few “walk in” slots will be available each day.] We ask all clients to sign up for a shopping time at SignUpGenius or call 630-406-0036 to schedule a time.

Please only schedule ONE shopping day for December. After December 15, you may sign up for your second timeslot, if they are still available. Then, on your shopping day, please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time. You will still have 15 minutes to shop, but if you are late or miss your time, you will miss that opportunity. If you are scheduling a food pickup on the same day, please let the Food Pantry staff know when they call to schedule your pick up. Thank you! We hope this makes the shopping experience easier and safer for all.

DONATIONS DROP-OFF
The Clothes Closet is also currently open to donations of FALL and WINTER clothing. Because we have limited volunteer availability at this time, we are trying to spread out the drop off times of these donations. Please select a time HERE.

The Batavia Interfaith Clothes Closet is a not-for-profit volunteer agency that is directed and operated as an extension of the food pantry by community and local church volunteers residing throughout the greater Fox Valley. Those who visit and use our Clothes Closet are our neighbors and friends: people with disabilities, seniors, low income families, and families who have lost their jobs. Certified Food Pantry Clients are eligible to shop at the Clothes Closet. The Pantry issued card is required at each visit. Clients may use the Clothes Closet twice a month.
